Sandy Granier, who has been with Jump'In for 10 years as the Office Manager and Marketing Director, embarked on her journey into the world of gymnastics when her daughter, Jersey, took a trial class at the age of four and instantly fell in love with the sport. She’s now 15 and one of our Jr. Coaches! Although Sandy was relatively new to gymnastics, her background in competitive sports has equipped her with a wealth of experience and passion for athletic pursuits.
Sandy's affinity for sports began at the age of 11 when she started playing softball in a recreational league. Her talent was evident early on, as she was selected to join the Varsity softball team as a starting shortstop upon entering Junior High. She continued to excel in the sport throughout her high school years and remained active in softball by participating in women’s recreational leagues after graduation.
Sandy's educational journey began at Our Lady of Holy Cross College in New Orleans, LA, where she pursued a pre-dentistry major for two years. However, following the impact of Hurricane Katrina in 2005, she relocated to Hattiesburg and continued her education at Antonelli College. There, she earned an Applied Science degree with a concentration in Massage Therapy. During her studies, Sandy leveraged her extensive customer service experience to re-enter the service industry, quickly advancing to a management position by 2007. She continued in this role until her graduation in 2008.
Upon obtaining her certifications, Sandy worked as a licensed massage therapist at Tranquility Day Spa until the birth of her daughter in 2010. Her dedication to safety and professional growth is evident, as she is currently CPR and Safe Sport certified.
In addition to her role at Jump'In, Sandy is the owner of Soul Journey Holistic Day Spa, where she serves as an Usui Reiki Master. Her commitment to health and wellness extends beyond her professional life, as she enjoys spending her free time reading, working out, and cherishing moments with her daughter. Sandy's journey reflects a harmonious blend of sports, wellness, and personal fulfillment, making her a multifaceted and inspiring staff member.
